I have a strategy im most games. But i couldnt find a strategy for divide grid game. Without a strategy, it is impossible to make hundreds of points. I need help to find a strategy

i was usually trying to focus on one corner and keep everythinh else clear so that if you drop in the middle you have at least 3 numbers you can merge into, but idk

Thank you for the answer but i couldnt get it well. Can you explain it a bit detailed, please? There are too many numbers that need specific multiplier. Such as 7, 9,8,5 After a few moves, all cells start to get occupied. At first i reserve some cells to merge with 5,7, 8 and 9 but then here comes a "1" and it breaks the system. I'm afraid i couldnt explained it clearly:)

stay away from odd and prime numbers. try to have as many even ones because they merge more with other ones. 2 into 4, 4 into 8, etc. i usually place them in a corner, top right, top and right so that way the next number can be placed in the middle and has 3 potential ways to combine so it is less likely i lose a square. but this is just my theory, i only got like 200 points or something
