Spot the Move is a free brain web game that tests your ability to detect subtle changes in a visual field. A 4x4 grid displays four orange balls in fixed positions; after a brief period, they shift. Your goal is to identify exactly how many of those balls moved—whether it was one, all four, or none at all.

I designed this to be a pure attention drill. It’s not just about noticing movement; it’s about comparing a remembered pattern to a new one in real-time. Since one wrong guess ends the round, it forces you to maintain absolute focus as you work through 20 levels of increasing complexity.

Sharpen Visual Memory and Attention

The challenge lies in the comparison process. Your brain has to lock in the initial coordinates and then instantly scan the grid for discrepancies. It is a straightforward way to check your short-term recall and see how well you can track multiple objects simultaneously under pressure.

Why Play Spot the Move?

"It looks simple, but it really tests your focus. I was surprised how tricky counting the changes can be."

"The 4x4 grid makes it intense. One wrong guess and the game ends. It keeps me fully locked in."

The interface is minimal to ensure your attention stays on the grid. Success depends on your observation accuracy and your ability to count the changes without second-guessing yourself. Spot the Move is available anytime in your browser for a fast, effective mental workout.
